About

I believe that consistent, regular exercise—in whatever way that brings you satisfaction and joy—is central to a good quality of life.

Having been active throughout my life with hiking, cycling, and gardening, I started structured strength training in my 30s with commercial gym group classes. A series of personal training sessions segued into following strength training plans on my own and then a few years of Crossfit. These different forms of strength training each brought with them an increased belief in my own abilities, a greater sense of achievement, and an overall ease of movement.

Wanting to share the many health and self-confidence benefits of a consistent strength training practice, I became a personal trainer in 2020 and subsequentlly earned a post-bac. degree in Applied Health & Fitness. I enjoy working with people who are just getting into strength training, who are unsure of how to progress in their workouts, or who want personalized planning and individualized feedback. My approach is encouraging, instructive, and inclusive.

Outside of the gym, studio classes, and my studies, I love growing Pacific Northwest native plants and can often be found in botanical gardens and local nurseries. I also enjoy cooking for my family, hiking, and herding my rambunctious cat.
